SBS 3D player on Android

Android has no system 3D mode, so the phone either feeds AR glasses, feeds a headset, or shows anaglyph. None of it needs an APK.

No APK needed: the browser player runs in Chrome on Android — open it, pick the file, choose Half or Full SBS. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is installed.

What you actually need on Android

Android has no system-level 3D mode. To see depth you need one of three things:

  1. AR glasses (XREAL, VITURE, Rokid) — the glasses do the 3D, the phone feeds them the file, and you switch the glasses to 3D Full SBS.
  2. A VR headset — Quest and Pico run their own apps; on Android phones this does not apply.
  3. A flat screen — red/cyan anaglyph glasses, or a wiggle loop, both of which any phone can display.

Route 1 — browser, no install

Open the browser player in Chrome on the phone, tap the drop area and pick the video from storage. Choose Half SBS or Full SBS, then pick a mode:

Files stay on the phone: the video is decoded in the browser, nothing is uploaded.

Route 2 — AR glasses

With XREAL or VITURE, the usual path is the glasses' own app on the phone: open the file there, and in the glasses' display menu choose 3D → Full SBS (some models call it "3D side-by-side"). Then set the IPD dial so the two images fuse. If the app will not open the file, the browser player plus the glasses' 3D mode is the fallback.

About the "SBS 3D player APK" searches

Most of what ranks for that phrase is a third-party APK — often an old build, sometimes a modified one. You do not need any of them for side-by-side playback: the browser player here does the same job with no install, no permissions and no upload. If you do install one, check that it offers an explicit SBS / Half-SBS / Full-SBS switch; without it you get the flat two-pictures view.

The three settings that decide whether it works

Still flat or doubled after those three? It is a playback problem, not a file problem: six fixes, in order.

FAQ

Is there an official DepthSnap Android app?
No. Everything runs in the browser, including the player and the converter — there is no APK to install and no account.
Why do my AR glasses show two pictures side by side?
The glasses are in 2D mode. Open their display menu and pick 3D → Full SBS (or 3D side-by-side), then adjust the IPD dial until the two images merge.
Can I play a half-SBS file on Android?
Yes — choose Half SBS in the browser player, or the equivalent half-width mode in the glasses app. Picking full-SBS for a half file stretches the faces fat.
Does the browser player work offline?
Once the page has loaded it keeps working without a connection, because the file is processed locally. Add it to your home screen to open it like an app.
