How does a photo become 3D?

DepthSnap runs the Depth Anything monocular depth model on your photo, estimates a depth value for every pixel, then synthesizes left/right views via parallax into an SBS (side-by-side) stereo pair plus a depth map — all in your browser via ONNX Runtime Web (WebGPU/WASM).

Which devices work?

The SBS output plays on Meta Quest 2/3, Apple Vision Pro, Pico 4, XREAL and VITURE glasses, 3D TVs, projectors and any glasses-free 3D display — anaglyph too. No re-encoding needed.

Why local processing?

100% on-device: photos are never uploaded; no limits, watermarks or accounts. The AI model downloads once, is cached, and works offline afterwards.

FAQ

Why are there two images side by side?

That is the SBS stereo format: left half for your left eye, right half for your right. Select SBS mode in any VR headset — or free-view by crossing your eyes.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Depth estimation and stereo synthesis run entirely in your browser (WebAssembly) — photos stay on your device.

Is it really free?
